Server API

Post by pSimon » Wed May 16, 2018 2:42 pm

In your archive docs, there are some mentions of a "Server API", but data is quite sparse.

Is there a a description of
- How you use it?
- The full set of commands available?

Server API was made for a few customers who wanted to access to myCNC from third-party software to send commands, upload/download g-codes, coordinates and internal variables etc.

You can check blog article from our old website

I see - Telnet based.

Is it still supported? It looks like a useful feature.

I'd say TCP-Sockets based.
Telnet just is a convenient standard utility to demo/test Server API features.

Yes, it's supported.
We had Android Pendant control software which worked via Server-API and I want to restart this project

Understood.

Can more than one simultaneous connection be supported?

Why?

I'm not sure.
If not, can be made easily.

No "why" at present, just exploring functionality.
