GCode dialect

Post by pSimon »

Hi again.

I'm evaluating Vectric's VCarve , and they don't have explicit support for your software.

Can you give me an idea of gcode dialects that are a"good fit" for yours? I'm just looking for 3d milling here.

here's their list of machine post-processors:
pp.txt
(35.22 KiB) Downloaded 15 times
As I'm only evaluation, I don't want to get into too much adaptation if I can avoid it!

Thanks in advance

Hi there,

Regarding Vectric - we do have a post processor for VCarve that the Vectric team has prepared for us. You can download it from our Downloads page (https://www.pv-automation.com/en/download), or by emailing Vectric Support (support@vectric.com) and receiving a download link from them directly.

The post processor is relatively fresh and is not widely used yet, so despite us testing it some issues may still be present. If you encounter any problems with the G-code generated using this post, you can reach out to us and we will email Vectric with a list of necessary modifications to implement in the post processor in a future update.
